Hannah's Rag Doll
To create this doll my 8 year old daughter first drew, then cut out the dolls body. (two of the same pattern) She hand sewed two button eyes on one of the cloth sides, then laid the other over top.
She then sewed around the form, leaving a small hole in the side of the body. After that she turned it inside out, stuffed it and stitched the hole back up. She created the dress the same way, measuring to create a dress that would fit, cutting out two of the same pieces and stitching around the dress.
She also seamed around the sleeves, neck, and hemline of the dress. To complete the doll, she created a yarn wig, tied bows in it, stitched it to the top of the dolls head and drew her a cute little face.
