Sew a Tablecloth
Sewing a tablecloth is an easy sewing project. The hardest part
is knowing how big you want the finished tablecloth to be. You
will need to measure your table and add 15 inches on the width and
length. If you'd like it to hang longer than a normal tablecloth,
such as to the floor, measure the distance from the floor up and
over the table and back down. This is common when adding a
tablecloth to small round tables or end tables. Most fabric comes
45 inches wide so it is easiest to measure the number of yards or
feet long you'd like the table linen and not worry about the
width.

Now that you have your measurements cut your fabric to size if
needed. All you need to do to finish your tablecloth is to hem the
edges. Turn edges 1/2 inch and 1/2 inch again, pin in place.
Continue on all sides. Sew pulling out the pins as you go.
You can sew holiday tablecloths by shopping for holiday fabric
and creating a lot of fun designs and looks for your table.
